Gifts & bequests
With your support, the museum can continue to inspire future generations
Why your support is so important:
Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar researches, publishes, collects, manages and presents the art and cultural-historical collection of the city and region of Alkmaar. To ensure that the collection can be safeguarded for future generations, the museum desperately needs your support. With your contribution, large or small, you will help Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar realize its ambitions.
- Donation of assets
You can make a one-time or periodic donation to Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar. We record this donation in an agreement. With a periodic donation, the tax benefit is usually the greatest when spread over five calendar years. All donations are completely exempt from inheritance and gift tax. - Donation of an object
In addition, you can donate an art (historical) object to the museum. Our curators will examine whether an object meets the requirements to be included in the collection.
Bequeath
By including Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar in your will, you can bequeath assets or objects to the museum. There are several ways you can bequeath.
- Heir
You can name the museum as one of your heirs. The inheritance (or part of it) will then be granted to the museum. Here you can choose whether the bequest will be allocated to a specific project. - Bequest
By including a bequest in your will, you can leave an object or amount of money to the museum. This can be a fixed amount or percentage.
Destination of your gift:
- Preservation and restoration: an endowment may be earmarked specifically for restoration of a work of art or heritage object.
