Opening From Water to Land

Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar cordially invites you to the opening of the exhibition From Water to Land on Friday, October 9

How do you create land where previously there was only water? And what can an artist's perspective contribute to that? In the multidisciplinary exhibition From Water to Land – Jan van Scorel and Pé OK discover how artists have been looking at the Dutch landscape with imagination since the sixteenth century, and are even contributing to its transformation. From ambitious plans to turn water into land to new ideas about our future: discover how art, landscape, and humanity have been intertwined for centuries.

7:00 PM – Reception in the foyer
7:30 PM – Opening remarks by director Marrigje Rikken, followed by an interview between curator Tristan Schiff and artist Pé Okx
7:50 PM – Official opening moment
5:55 PM - 9:30 PM – Exclusive visit to the exhibition and drinks in the foyer
