Opening of the Victoriefonds Culture Prize

We cordially invite you to the festive opening of the exhibition ‘HuisRAAD’.

The Victoriefondscultuurprijs 2026 Visual Arts award has been granted to Inderjeet Sandhu by the expert jury. Associated with the Visual Arts award is an exhibition at Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar. The exhibition is a co-production of St. Cultuurprijs regio Alkmaar and Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar.

Hetty Hafkamp (Chair of the Alkmaar Region Culture Prize Foundation) will briefly explain the Culture Prize. You can visit the exhibition from 5:15 PM.

At 6:00 PM, we will conclude the opening.

The location is Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar, Canadaplein 1 in Alkmaar.

Inderjeet Sandhu is a Dutch-Indian artist and designer living in Alkmaar. He works at the intersection of art, design, and social themes. In his work, he explores subjects such as migration, identity, and systems of power, often translating them into sculptural and functional objects made of marble, glass, and other materials.

After his studies at AMFI in Amsterdam, he obtained his master's degree from the Royal College of Art in London. His work is exhibited internationally, including in Milan, London, New York, and Mumbai.

The exhibition can be seen from June 26, 2026, to November 8, 2026.
