Play along in a theatrical museum lesson and experience the siege of Alkmaar from the inside. Assume the role that suits you and experience in your own play why Alkmaar was attacked by the Spaniards in 1573. How did it end with the people of Alkmaar?

In this theatrical museum lesson, a theater and dance teacher take students through an interactive performance. After a tour of the museum, and rehearsing together, students reenact the story of the siege. The works and objects of the permanent collection presentationAll Alkmaarare the backdrop and give depth to the museum lesson.
Prior to the museum lesson, students play "The Character Game" at school. A card set that invites discussion. A classroom game where they discover the role they will play in the play. The duration of the game is 30 to 50 minutes.
After making the reservation, we will send the Character Game to the school. Have all students discovered their roles! Then bring the Character Game back to the museum during your visit.
