Family workshop during spring break: Picture Together
Alkmaar was captured in many ways in 1954. How did photographers from 1954 look at Alkmaar and how do we look at the same city 70 years later?
In this family workshop, families become Image Seekers, part of the Image Gang: a group of curious viewers who discover Alkmaar by mirroring photos from 1954 to the Alkmaar of today.
With a Polaroid camera and a set of image crackers, families set out around town with a museum docent. Each image cracker opens up a different way of looking. This creates a personal visual story of Alkmaar today.
The poloroids can be taken home. So you can design your mini exhibition Alkmaar in Pictures at home.
