Conservator's Lecture – Gestel and De Smet
On Thursday evening, curator Kees van der Geer will take you on an in-depth lecture through the extraordinary lives of friends and artists. Leo Gestel and Gustave De Smet. A story about the colorful friendship between the grand master of Flemish expressionism Gustave De Smet and Leo Gestel, one of the most important innovators of Dutch art. The exhibition Gestel and De Smet - colorful friendship shows how their lives became intimately intertwined and how they influenced each other both artistically and personally. A story about art and friendship in both light and dark periods of their lives.
After the lecture, you can visit the museum freely, and all of that after closing time.
