A celebration that we would like to celebrate with the city and all its residents. To mark this special moment, we present a festive decoration of our facade. <strong>The Cloud<\/strong>: a work of art created in co-creation with 150 young people from Alkmaar, under the guidance of various artists and based on the idea of the Youth Department of Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every night the cloud lights up and <em>rains<\/em> it compliments passersby. The youth department collected these compliments by asking 150 Alkmaar youth the question, \u201cWhat would you like to say to your own reflection?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the guidance of several artists, the youngsters took this cloud of compliments and created this interactive work of light art: <strong>The Cloud<\/strong> created.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Cloud<\/strong> can be seen on the facade of Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar from October 15, 2025 through February 15, 2026.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong><em>Courtesy of<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<br><em>CuratorLab - Youth Department Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar 2023-2025\u00a0<br>Morphix Productions &amp; the Creating Gentlemen - Design and installation The Cloud\u00a0<br>Marc Ruygrok, Lowieke de Vries, Sjaan Flikweert, J\u00f6rgen Gario - Creative facilitators co-creation\u00a0<br>Municipality of Alkmaar - Subsidization.\u00a0<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 5, 2025, Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar will celebrate its 150th anniversary.
