Move the City is a summer festival that descends on a different part of the municipality of Alkmaar each year. Get ready for MOVE THE CITY! A free summer festival that descends somewhere in Alkmaar every year. And this year it's in beautiful ... Graft and De Rijp. It will be a wonderful weekend full of theater, workshops, art and music in monuments and in the middle of the streets.

There is program for all ages and you can participate or just watch. How about:

A 'Summer is Almost Ripe' get-together in the Great Church
A fairy-tale Gardenracht concert in cooperation with Kleurrijk De Rijp
A musical theater performance on the tombstone floor in Graft
A game of stone throwing with live music in cooperation with the Ice Club
Workshops Art Summer School in the Walhuis
A lecture on "De Rijp as a film set. at the Green Swan
A Float in Celebration in cooperation with the Milk Boat
Workshops like graffiti and special street theater performances
A popup museum and popup movie theater
A theater performance created by children from De Rijp
